Our boy is resting on the placenta using it as a kind of a pillow. You can see his spine clearly in the top of the picture and his head is tucked down on the right. The ultrasound tech jiggled Babs tummy in an attempt to get him to turn around so he could get a good face shot, but I guess our little fellow was feeling shy.
Babs and I went for the ultrasound on Monday and now we know! We are having a boy! I realize that for most of our readers these photos will just be a lot of indistinct, blurry blobs. That's what I always thought when I saw other people's ultrasounds. But, when it's your kid, suddenly those fuzzy pictures seem a lot clearer.
Here's our son's arm and hand (balled up in a little fist). It was cool watching it move on the ultrasound right before this picture was taken.

Way to go Papa! That's sooo cool! I'm sooo excited for you. I'm sitting in my office with a big, silly grin on my face. Congrats on the son! He's gonna be one lucky fella.
