Good Day, Sunshine
Hooray for springtime!
Spring is in the air. The temperatures are creeping upward. We actually hit the upper 60s by the end of last week! And while they've dropped again over the weekend, they've yet to return to freezing. Even if ice and snow does return at some point in the coming weeks, I'll take comfort in the fact that time is on our side. As long as the earth continues it's annual journey around the sun spring and summer will come--guaranteed!
The mountains of dirty snow that have cluttered the curbs, corners, and parking lots are all but gone. The very air smells fresh and new. And best of all--the sun is shining more! Last weekend, was gorgeous--perfect blue sky days with balmy temperatures. The pictures below were taken on a beautiful Sunday, just as Babs, the Feller, and I were headed out for a late morning brunch at one of the restaurants around the corner.
It's official, we survived our first winter and spring is on the way!
Sunday, March 7, 2010. All the snow you see in this picture is now gone!
Me and Feller soaking up the rays!
The current view from here (as of March 7), in America. I'll post more photos of this view from our balcony as spring comes into bloom.
